At Borderly ("we", "our", or "us"), accessible from https://borderly.abhxy.com, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through our Chrome Extension ("Borderly") and website.

1. Overview & Single Purpose

Borderly is a web development tool designed to help developers and designers visualize, inspect, and debug CSS element layouts and element spacing directly on web pages. We practice strict data minimization and only collect data essential for user authentication and managing software licenses/subscriptions.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data required to provide our service:

Account & Authentication Information

When you sign up or log in, we collect your email address and authentication credentials/tokens managed via Supabase Auth.

Device & Entitlement Information

To enforce trial limits and verify active subscription tiers (Free vs. Pro), we generate an anonymous device identifier and store cryptographically signed entitlement tokens in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local).

Payment Information

All payment processing is handled securely by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). Borderly never stores or receives your full credit card numbers or financial credentials.

3. Information We DO NOT Collect

Borderly operates locally in your browser to inspect DOM element styles. We explicitly DO NOT:

Track, record, or store your web browsing history or visited URLs.
Capture or record page content, text, form inputs, or keystrokes.
Collect health, location, personal communications, or financial data.
Use tracking cookies, third-party analytics scripts, or advertising trackers inside the extension.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively to:

  1. 1Authenticate your account and grant access to Borderly features.
  2. 2Verify your subscription status (Trial, Free, or Pro tier).
  3. 3Save your extension customization preferences (e.g., custom border colors and outline display modes) locally on your device.

5. Third-Party Services

We partner with reliable third-party infrastructure providers to operate Borderly safely:

Supabase

Used for secure user authentication, database management, and API backend services (https://*.supabase.co).

Stripe

Used for secure subscription billing and checkout processing.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes under any circumstances.

6. Security & Data Retention

Your data security is paramount:

  • All network communications between the extension, website, and backend APIs are encrypted using HTTPS (TLS).
  • Entitlement tokens cached in chrome.storage.local are signed with cryptographic signatures to prevent tampering.
  • Account data is retained only for as long as your account remains active. You may request account deletion at any time.

7. Chrome Web Store Policy Compliance

Borderly fully complies with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the User Data Privacy policy:

• Single Purpose

We request only permissions necessary for inspecting active web tab element layouts (activeTab, storage, scripting, identity, alarms).

• No Remote Code

Borderly does not execute remote code. All extension scripts are packaged locally within the published extension archive.

10. Refund Policy (Strict No Refunds)

All sales and subscription purchases for Borderly are final. Due to the immediate access to digital software features and the availability of a free trial/tier, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or prorated credits for any purchases, partial subscription periods, or unused licenses once a transaction is completed.
